What Can I Expect?
VelaShape III is safe and effective cellutite reduction treatment for all skin types and colours and as the procedure improves circulation and helps eliminate toxins from the body. This treatment will enhance your health and can sometimes provide relief from muscle aches and pains. This includes growing pains in teenagers or muscle pain from gym workouts.
During a VelaShape treatment you will lay comfortably and after a hydrating lotion is applied the handpiece is placed on your skin and you will feel a persistent rolling massage sensation that slowly begins to heat up. Many describe it like a warm, relaxing deep tissue massage. The aim is to reach a steady temperature for only 15 minutes in each area for optimal results.
It is non-invasive, so no recovery time is needed though afterwards you may feel slightly warm and tender for a few hours, like a minor sunburn. Depending on the sensitivity of the area mild bruising can occur but will go away after a few days.
How Many Cellulite Treatments Will I Need?
During your body contouring consultation our clinician will determine your areas of concern and create an individualised treatment plan to achieve the desired result.
Generally, 3 sessions are best for treating cellulite spaced 2 weeks apart and then maintenance treatments after that. Skin tightening may require more sessions depending on the severity of the condition.
Clients can notice an improvement in the target areas from the first or second session with gradual and cumulative results being seen throughout the treatment regime. Improvements continue to appear even after the treatments have finished leaving you with a finer, tighter shape that feels smoother and firmer.
In various clinical studies, clients report an average reduction of 1-3 centimetres post treatment 2,3 and 4. Your results will last longer if you follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly.
