Skin Resurfacing Treatment
This resurfacing treatment uses advanced radio-frequency (RF) technology to improve the skin’s tone and texture for a smooth complexion.
Unlike laser that destroys the outermost layer of skin cells, sublative RF minimises surface disruption and creates maximum desired impact in the deeper layers which instantly triggers the skin’s own healing response, stimulating the production of regenerative tissue. The skin then rapidly deposits collagen, remodelling and resurfacing, causing plumping of fine lines, wrinkles and crepey skin, creating a smoother surface.
As collagen is a main structural protein found naturally within our bodies, stimulating the creation of new collagen cells is the safest and most effective way to correct skin irregularities.

What Can I Expect?
The Sublative applicator head is comprised of many multi-electrode pins which when in contact with the skin delivers the RF energy creating a grid like pattern on the surface. The dots of this grid are where the RF has punctured the skin and the surrounding tissue is what stimulates new collagen production. Essentially resurfacing the skin from the inside out as it is tricked into healing wounds that were intentionally delivered. Each pulse feels like a quick prickly sensation and then a gradual heat is felt all over as an after effect. Compared to other light or laser resurfacing which can create weeks of downtime and high amounts of pain, the Sublative does not disrupt the surface layer of the epidermis allowing you to resume your normal routine. The skin appears quite red, fading by the next day and can feel a little like sand paper afterwards due to the formation of micro crusts which naturally slough of over 5 days.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Depending on the condition of the skin and the desired outcome, results will vary which we will establish with an individualised treatment plan during your consultation.
Generally, 3 to 4 sessions are required for optimal results, spaced 1 month apart although an excellent reaction can be achieved after only 1 treatment with improvements continuing up to one year after. Results are gradual as the effect of the procedure is in the dermal layer and needs time to rise to the epidermis. A few weeks after the initial session, skin becomes noticeably softer, clearer and smoother while looking completely natural.
A maintenance treatment is recommended once a year to maintain and further enhance current results and as the procedure works to rebuild collagen there is no limitation to how long the outcome will last.
